REPORT: Bullet That Killed Charlie Kirk Did Not Match Tyler Robinson’s Rifle
Ben Shapiro wants you to believe that only kooky conspiracy theorists question the government’s explanation of who shot Charlie Kirk. It turns out the tinfoil hat wearers might be less nuts than most people realize.
The bullet that killed the Turning Point USA founder did not match Tyler Robinson’s rifle, a new court filing claimed on Monday. The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives “was unable to identify the bullet recovered at autopsy to the rifle allegedly tied to Mr. Robinson,” the accused murderer’s lawyers wrote. Robinson’s next court appearance is scheduled for April 17.
We do not know who killed Charlie, and his death remains so upsetting that we would rather not speculate. All we can say is that law enforcement should leave no stone unturned in its investigation, which it clearly has not done, and that anyone who demands the public ask no questions probably has something to hide. Maybe Robinson was the culprit. We are completely willing to believe that. But authorities must prove it.
