Tyler Robinson Appears in Court, Will Face Death Penalty

Accused Charlie Kirk assassin Tyler Robinson made his first court appearance on Tuesday, sitting emotionlessly as Judge Tony Graf Jr. read the charges against him.

Prosecutors formally charged the 22-year-old with felony aggravated murder, felony discharge of a firearm causing serious bodily injury, two counts of felony obstruction of justice, two counts of witness tampering, and commission of a violent offense in the presence of a child before the hearing. They are seeking the death penalty.

Robinson spoke only when asked to state his name and appeared to nod when Graf told him he would remain jailed without bail. He could receive a public defender today.

Utah permits executions by lethal injection and firing squad.

Texts Reveal Robinson’s Confession

Tyler Robinson’s trial could be brief.

Law enforcement released a transcript showing a handful of the charged murderer’s post-shooting text messages on Tuesday, allegedly showing him confessing to the shooting and urging his trans lover to destroy key evidence.

“I am, I’m sorry,” the document says Robinson wrote when asked if he was the culprit. “I had enough of his hatred. Some hate can’t be negotiated out. If I am able to grab my rifle unseen, I will have left no evidence,” he added.

He also instructed the transitioning boyfriend to delete the exchange and not talk to the media.

ABC News reporter Matt Gutman called the messages “very touching” on Tuesday, painting them as “a very intimate portrait into this relationship between the suspect’s roommate and the suspect himself.” How… heartwarming?

Fake Kirk Shooter Hit with Child Porn Charges

George Zinn is one of the more bizarre figures of our time.

America met the elderly rabble-rouser moments after Charlie Kirk’s assassination when he allegedly falsely claimed responsibility for the shooting. Witnesses say he screamed that he was the culprit immediately after Charlie went down, leading to his arrest and giving the real shooter time to escape.

“I shot him, now shoot me,” he reportedly yelled, despite being unarmed.

Only a uniquely deranged kind of person would do something like that, and Zinn appears to fit the bill. Law enforcement charged the 71-year-old with four counts of sexual exploitation of a minor on Monday after investigators found him in possession of over 20 images of kids as young as 5 years old, at least partially naked and posing in a sexual way.

Authorities say there is no evidence that Zinn and Tyler Robinson worked together.

“Republicans Are Not Nazis”: Democrat Senator Gives Sanity a Try

Mainstream Democrats have spent years slandering Trump supporters as fascists, Nazis, and wannabe authoritarians. Their rhetoric clearly influenced lunatics like Charlie Kirk’s shooter, who wrote, “Hey Fascist! Catch!” on one of his bullet casings before the assassination.

Any responsible liberal would call on his party to immediately stop this vicious name-calling in the wake of Charlie’s death. Dick Durbin is doing just that.

The Illinois senator opened Tuesday’s Kash Patel hearing with a call for basic civility, saying that “all of us in public life on both sides of the aisle have a responsibility to bring down the temperature and to work to unite the American people.”

“Let’s be clear. Republicans are not Nazis… Our political opponents are not our enemies; we are all Americans, and we should be working together to keep the American people safe and protect their constitutional rights,” he said.

Charlie could still be alive if Democrats had talked that way from the beginning.

Andrew Cuomo Can’t Name a Single Democrat He Admires

Democrats’ leadership crisis is no secret. It’s the reason they haven’t had a compelling presidential nominee in over a dozen years. Party leaders like Andrew Cuomo know it.

The former New York governor and current city mayoral candidate failed to name a single living Democrat he admires in comments released by The New York Times on Tuesday, saying his party has a grand total of zero elected officials whom he holds in high esteem or considers “ideologically similar” to himself.

“Admire? None comes to mind,” he told The Times.

This problem has a simple solution: Democrats need a Trump – a candidate who will come out of nowhere, galvanize voters, and turn America’s political tides in their favor after years of rudderless floundering. Sadly for the left, it’s hard to think of anyone who could be up to the task.

Judge Drops Luigi Mangione’s Terrorism Charges

A New York judge threw out terrorism charges against Luigi Mangione on Tuesday, rejecting the Manhattan district attorney’s theory that the killing of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson was “intended to evoke terror.” He kept other charges in place, including the accused killer’s second-degree murder count.

The ruling is tangibly significant because it spares Mangione the possibility of a mandatory life sentence with no chance of parole in his state case. He could, however, still face the death penalty through federal prosecution, and the second-degree charge carries a potential penalty of 15 years to life behind bars.

Judge Gregory Carro’s written decision said that although Thompson’s killing was no ordinary crime, state law in New York does not consider something terrorism simply because it was motivated by ideology. He wrote that there is “no evidence” that Mangione’s goal was to “intimidate and coerce a civilian population.”

Pretrial hearings are slated for December 1st.

Cheating Scandal Rocks World Stone Skimming Championships

Scotland’s World Stone Skimming Championships are no joke. If you’re seeking casual, laid-back competition, we recommend going somewhere else. This is the big leagues.

One of the event’s policies is that all stones must be 100% natural. No artificial notches or anything of the like. Unfortunately, a handful of this year’s competitors tried to skirt the rules by wielding machine-smoothed rocks, which are said to aid throwing and maximize the number of skips. Major violation.

Event “toss master” Kyle Matthews received word of the scandal during the Saturday event and promptly disqualified the offenders. To their credit, they confessed to the act and accepted their punishment.

First, the 1919 Black Sox gambling ring, then the MLB steroid era, and now this. How much more can the sports world endure?

Scuba Man Plunges Into Life of Crime, Robs Disney Restaurant

Orlando police are on the hunt for a scuba suit-wearing man in connection with a robbery at a local Disney-owned restaurant.

Police say the incident occurred just after midnight on Monday morning when the man, decked out in scuba gear including a wetsuit, gloves, goggles, and a diving hood, entered the eatery and stole between $10,000 and $20,000. The villain reportedly told store employees to “get down” and “close their eyes,” causing one of them to fear for their life. He reportedly jumped into the water beneath the establishment’s replica steamboat upon completing the heist.

The crime’s investigation is ongoing.

Commentary

Shame on Him

Imagine you were a foreign world leader.

How would you have reacted to Charlie Kirk’s death? The answer isn’t hard. Tell America you’re sorry for its loss, offer your prayers, and extend specific sympathies to the slain father’s devastated family. Figuring this out shouldn’t require help from a public relations firm. It’s as simple as it gets.

The one thing you definitely wouldn’t do, so long as you have a sense of decency, is exploit the tragedy to promote your own agenda. Only a uniquely repulsive ghoul would choose that route. Enter Benjamin Netanyahu.

The Israeli prime minister’s response to the murder shocked us. He immediately made it all about him and his country, attempting to take the energy from the grief and sadness consuming the United States and redirect it toward support for his latest projects. It was a shameless attempt to hijack Charlie’s murder and use it for his own political ends. How low.

What made Netanyahu’s stunt particularly egregious is that his core claim wasn’t true. Charlie Kirk did not die for Israel. Not even close. While he did love America’s “special ally” and regularly spoke of his happy memories as a visitor, he did not like the man running its government. He said so many times. He felt that Bibi was a very destructive force, he was appalled by what was happening in Gaza, and he resented the prime minister for using the United States to prosecute his wars on his country’s behalf.

We know the hacks committed to blindly defending the Israeli government will call us liars or kooks for bringing this up. We don’t care. Our story is true, and it’s easily provable. It’s worth putting it on the record.
